  • Decided to visit Portland for a climbing weekend and loved staying at Joanne's place. It was so nice to get back to a warm home after a cold day out on the wall. Joanne was super helpful, she was very flexible, responsive and provided very useful descriptions. Thanks again for hosting us, and we'll definitely be back.

  • We had a great stay and fell in love with Portland! The house was lovely, comfortable and clean. Loft bedroom was amazing and the whole house modern and comfortably decorated. It was so nice to have a welcome pack and lots of local info and recommendations. The pint of milk waiting in the fridge was much appreciated after a long journey! The area was great - so close to the beach and coastal path - we walked so much that our shins hurt. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend 'Our Place' - we loved it

  • We have had a lovely stay here. This cottage is beautiful, cosy and full of character. It is spotless and the loft room and bedroom have amazing views of Chesil beach. Perfect location to explore Portland and only a short drive to Weymouth beach which is gorgeous. My children loved the short walk down to Chesil beach each evening to see the waves and sunset 💛. Communication is great with the hosts. Thank you again for letting us stay in your beautiful home and we cannot wait to visit again. ❤️

  • From booking through to departure Joanne was quick to respond and very helpful addressing any questions that I had. For me the attic bedroom with the sound of the sea and gulls was wonderful. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden enjoying the scent of the jasmine and relaxing in the sheltered position. The welcome basket that was provided was a thoughtful touch, as was the milk in the fridge. Thank you!

  • We had a lovely stay. The house was very clean and as shown in the photos. The beds were very comfortable and the location was great. 10 minute walk and we were on Chesil beach dipping our toes in the sea! A very enjoyable break. Thank you Joanne.

  • Really lovely house - spotless inside. Linen and towels all fresh Joanne is the perfect host offering help and advice. Lovely sun trap in the back garden! The shower is something else!!! Lots of little Dorset bits around the place: biscuits, cleaning products, shampoo etc We loved it!

  • We had a fantastic stay in Joanne's & Dan's beautiful and cosy house. From the very beginning, Joanne was very helpful and answered immediately, if we had any questions considering our stay, e.g. about how to get there. She also proactively sent us a video about how to get to her house. The communication was outstanding. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning, Fortuneswell is a beautiful and lovely little town and we often went for English breakfast to Quiddles Cafe Beach Bar right at the beach, which is just a 8 min walk away. The scenery there is amazing. The restaurants there closed early, but Weymouth is very easy to reach by car from there. And there is a Co-Op which was open until late. The kitchen of the house provides everything that you need to prepare and enjoy nice dinners with friends and family. Joanne is a Superhost indeed. Thank you so much, Joanne & Dan ! If we come back to beautiful Dorset, we will definitely come back to you and see if your place is free.

  • We had a wonderful little break in this lovely house. The house is really comfortable and has all the amenities you need, and the view from the loft room was incredible. The nearby car park was really handy and there there are local shops and restaurants to get anything you need. Joanne was a great host and made sure we had all the information we needed before we arrived. If you are thinking of booking a stay here then do it, you won't be disappointed
